Square Granny

A while back I bought a bag full of crocheted granny squares and wool from the Value Village. It was clearly somebody’s unfinished afghan project and my intention was to try and finish it. Because my crochet skills are still developing, I quickly gave up on this idea and decided to instead make a smaller blanket for my great niece’s dolls using the already completed squares. I was still one block short of a full mini afghan. Then I saw a balaclava made of granny squares on Pinterest and since these hoodies are all the rage these days (at least on my timeline), i thought I would give it a go.

Verdict: the premade squares were a little too big to recreate the Pinterest Project, it still works as a hood. I will probably attach some ribbing around the face to make it more snug.
