Catching Up

I was away in Geneva for the last nine days and, because it was a work trip, I didn’t have much time to post to this blog. I also came home with a cold and while I have plenty to write about, I don’t have the energy to do so now. I haven’t even fully unpacked yet.
I will celebrate my tiny accomplishments of the day. I did laundry and I replaced a burnt out light bulb in my bedside light — a vintage Memphis-style wall sconce from IKEA. I’d been putting this project off for a month for no good reason, so while on paper it seems like an inconsequential task, it’s still sort of satisfying.
Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have a little more gumption so I can do some proper projects—I order some craft and repair tools before I left and they were awaiting me on my return. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go cough.
