Vintage 1988 Makeup Ads
The festive season is fast approaching and if you want to go for an over-the-top look, you can try using these 1988 makeups ads for inspiration. Take this YSL as for example:, what could be more glam than a slash of coral-coloured blush, blood red lips and a smokey grey/blue eye? And remember: contouring is key!
Not all ’80s palettes look so dated. Look at this Lancôme ad with Isabella Rosellini. Sure you needed four shades of eyeshadow to get this intense look, but it would work today. Also, I love those earrings.
This Max Factor ad starring Jaclyn Smith is a little closer to the ’80s looks I remember. Please feel free to mock the blue eyeshadow.
would like to know if braclet and brooch for sale, not sure i amdoing this right, caril
I have some things for sale in my etsy shop (http://www.etsy.com/shop/GraciousGood). Not surebifvthese arevthe pieces you are referring to.
Thank you I love everything about YSL especially vintage YSL. The quality and strong pigmentation of a lot of YSL makeup back then was even better than how their makeup is today except they have more different colors of foundation now.
You are welcome!
