Sneak Peek: Thierry Mugler Womanity
Went to a press event for Thierry Mugler‘s newest fragrance, Womanity, this morning. I gotta say that so far I like everything about it. The bottle (pictured above) is like an H.R. Giger meets Art Deco sculpture (it’s also refillable, which I like because it’s lest wasteful). The concept — a sweet and salty juice — is very clever. And I find the scent, a mix of fig fruit, caviar and fig wood accords, delicious.
It is an unusual scent, though. Some of the reporters there felt that it would be a bit of a hard sell. (Angel was similarly difficult to market when it launched in 1992,and it has since become one of the most successful perfumes ever)/ I think the true test will be in how it adapts to each woman’s body chemistry. Let me test drive it for a while before I give you a review.
