Mid Century Modnesday: Copper Bracelet, Robert Larin Brooch and B+D Bangle
Look at these Mod goodies I got at the Flamboro Antique Show on the weekend. First, the funky copper bracelet pictured above. In the 1950s and 1960s, studio designers and First Nations artisans loved to create with copper because it was easy to work into untradtional shapes. This piece is unsigned, but the best known coppersmiths were Renoir and Matisse, Rebajes, Kat Denning and Bell Trading Post.
Also found a Buch + Deichmann bangle of a type that I did not have before. It looks good with the copper.
And the ultimate find — A Robert Larin brooch which I got for $6.
