Men’s Corner with Mr. Andrew

Andrew’s favourite fall coat is a three-quarter length ledermantel he bought in Kensington Market last spring. It was made by a company called Nikator. My German is rusty, but I believe the company was a leather goods concern based in Freiberg that was in business from around 1951 – 1986. Even though Freiberg is in the former West Germany, Andrew calls it his Stasi coat, after the East German secret police.

As you can see, he’s almost able to conceal one large cat in it, so maybe it is a spy coat.
