Bag Productions Week: Designer Bags

Here are some high-end, name brand bags that I have owned at some point or another. They were all thrift shop finds and were basically disintegrating because leather dries out and become brittle in storage. The lesson I learned was this: When you buy vintage leather goods — no matter how pristine they look, always apply a good leather conditioning treatment before you wear or use the item. And try not to store leather goods in a dry spot. Thus endeth the lesson.

Oh, the bags: (Clockwise from top left) Yves Saint Laurent; Fendi; Chloé; Dooney & Bourke; Valentino; and Fendi. They were all real ones, not fakes, which are plentiful in thrift shops.
