Retro Gilt Egyptian Coral and Lapis Pendant Brooch

I cannot resist ancient Egyptian-themed jewellery. I am not alone. I have owned pieces from Victorian to contemporary times that were made all over the world. When I bought this pendant/brooch, I could see that it was hallmarked and the punch seemed to be in Arabic. When I finally got around to researching it, I discovered that it was actually made in Egypt.

The hallmarks also tell me that the piece is gilded .800 grade silver (the arabic symbol for eight) and was made after 1946 (the lotus flower assay mark that also indicates it’s Egyptian manufacture). There is a fourth symbol, which I think might date it to 1962, but my Arabic is weak (although the styling would support this claim).
