On the Mend
Sunday I decided to catch up on my darning. Both my Proenza Schouler for Target and my lucky yellow cardigan had come apart at the collar. I try to mend things instead of tossing them as much as possible: It saves money, waste and because it’s nearly impossible to replace your favourite pieces.
I’ve tried to illustrate the process (poorly) above, but if you’d like to learn more about mending, Freedom Clothing Collective and Worn Fashion Journal hold a mending meetup on the first Thursday of every month.
