Summer of Stripes Part 2

We talked about horizontal lines yesterday, but I wanted to share some other stripey favourites (so they didn’t feel left out). Above is a chevron skirt that I’ve been sporting just about every other day for a month. I got it from the sale section at Urban Outfitters, so it was a bargain to boot.

(An aside: A lot of the summer fashions are so sort of shapeless that despite my cushiony figure, I’ve had no problem finding clothes this summer. In fact, this skirt and the lineny peasant blouse I bought to wear with it are mediums).

Abvove, representing the diagonals, is a summery shift from the Value Village. The picture doesn’t do it justice.

(An aside: I have never worn this dress. It is too small despite being labelled a 14. You win some, you lose some.

Finally, a vertically striped cotton scarf that I found on the sidewalk at Palmerston and College many years ago. A cotton scarf is a life saver when it is super hot out because it can shade the head, protect exposed shoulders from dangerous UV rays, filter out smog and absorb perspiration. Never leave home without your scarf.

(An aside: Scarves are also one size fits all).
