Seasonal Purse Swap

Fall is here. Time to bring out the heavy duty handbag. I’ve had this dyed cow hide Club Monaco purse for a couple of years now. I bought it during one of those late January sales where everything is suddenly and drastically marked down for a day or two before resort hits the racks. It was originally $300 and marked down to $30.

A note about hides and furs: Moths (my sworn enemy) got at this purse the summer before last, so there are some small bare patches. Protecting leather and fur from stupid, awful moths is trickier than preventing damage to silks and woolen articles — you shouldn’t store it in plastic and you can’t clean it like you can fabrics. Cold storage is the way to go.
