Muy Mexican: My New Bracelet
I believe I mentioned that there were some unbelievable deals at the Waddington’s jewellery auction last Wednesday. Since I didn’t win the bag and watch that I wanted, I somewhat impulsively bid on some undervalued lots.
Which brings us to the latest addition to my collection of vintage Mexican silver arm candy, the green onyx panel bracelet pictured above. It is signed “Hecho En Mexico D’F 925 RRR.” According to some cursory Googling, this maker’s mark belongs to a Mexico City silversmith and was probably made before 1946.
This piece may also be the last in my collection because, as you can see in the photo above, I am running out of arm space.
