Midweek Modness: Dansk Candle Holders
When I was young, my parents had a lovely Danish modern candelabra. It held beautiful long, tapered orange candles. i remember that the candles were so slender that they would snap like a twig if a a child accidentally bumped in them. And on hot summer days they would wilt like so much asparagus. I don;t recal my mother ever lighting a candle to use for its intended purpose.
I found this Jens Quistgaard for Dansk candle holder for $5 at the St. Lawrence market. A wave of nostalgia compelled me to buy it. Now I just have to find some skinny candles (I should have stocked up during Chanukah).
