I bought these shoes before I went to Basel. They represent a concept I’ve been wanting to explore — buying first hand clothing. It’s difficult because I am devoted to vintage on so many levels — including not contributing to the amount of stuff we put into the world. But I’ve been experiencing foot trouble and I blame a lot of it on buying shoes that are a bargain, but because of wear or being the wrong size, etc. I can still offset my footprint by not buying so many damned shoes. I shall try to pare down to one pair each of the following: running shoes, sandals, dress shoes and slippers and a one set each of winter and rain boots.
Wish me luck and lots of it.
