Everyday is Halloween: Night Lights
Since I’m a goth at heart, I use Halloween as an opportunity to stock up on my fashion needs. Interesting accessories such as skeleton printed socks and gloves have been acquired. I made a skirt out of a bunch of sparkly, spider-print children’s capes, and I purchased the prettiest peachy shade of glow-in-the-dark nail polish.
But did you know it’s the best time of the year to stock up on ghoulish home decor? Take it from a woman who recently unpacked a moving box labelled “blankets, wigs and bats,” you can use dark matter to decorate your home all year round. When Halloween stuff started appearing in stores (late August), I bought the black metal skull lantern pictured at the top of this post to light up our new terrace. The garland of plastic bats is a more recent purchase and will likewise be used as patio lanterns when warm weather returns.
And finally a string of eyeball lights. You can use them to trim the tree at Christmas as well!
