Midweek Modness: Clay Day
Yesterday I bet against the predicted big weather event and trekked out to the Value Village in Downsview. The gamble paid off in that the snow storm never happened, and I was able to do my other errands in the same strip mall. I also found some outstanding examples of mid century ceramics. I found this bowl thing first. So brutalist, so earthy! It’s signed NIE 524.
And then there’s this huge Bitossi-esque planter. It’s simply signed ITALY.
For the hat trick, here’s a picture of a pottery pendant that I picked up at The St. Lawrence on Sunday.
