Art On The High Line
Mr. Andrew and I made a quick trip to Manhattan to meet up with his brother, niece and nephew who were visiting from Denmark. It was hot as Hades so we mostly just strolled about, stopping for tasty treats and air conditioning along the way.
One of the benefits of taking a leisurely pace is that you can see all kinds of beautiful street scenes, architecture and art that you might miss when you’re hustling. One of the highlights of our trip was walking the High Line, which has all kinds of installations along the way, including Kathryn Andrews’ Sunbathers I & II (pictured above). We also spotted the bones of a building by the late Zaha Hadid from the elevated path.
And there were artists selling their work all along the entrances to the path. I bought these two prints from an artist whose card I seem to have lost.
got to love the High Line- we have something similar here called the Goods Line. But NY!
