Welcome to February

I am so looking forward to February! It’s my birth month! It’s also the month with a chocolate holiday (Valentine’s Day) and I’m going to Miami for work so I can escape the god forsaken of this polar vortex.

Fortunately I have my thick, hand knit socks and sealskin boots to keep my feets warm. I wrote about the Justason side of my family yesterday, but seal plays a central role in the Riche family history. And even though these boots are a Value Village find from long ago, we always had sealskin boots and mitts and hats growing up. So they keep me connected to those roots as well.

Not much else to say today. I thought about making a list of things that I want for my birthday but I already have pretty much everything that I want and I certainly have everything that I need.
