Maximal Minimalism

I love the stark simplicity of mid century modern Scandinavian jewellery. But as much as I aspire to minimalism, I can’t keep my maximalist tendencies down.

Yesterday, I went to the St. Lawrence Antiques market where I picked up these mod bracelets and immediately added them to my stack of other bangles. The pewter cuff pictured above is signed Jorgen Jensen (no relation to Georg Jensen, maker of my Torun bracelet also pictured above because I wear it every day!

Not signed but even more impressive is this clamper with a humongous purple plastic cabochon. You can’t see it in this picture, but it has a Dragon’s Breath like fire to it. I also suspect its either upcycled or DIY because the stone is just sort of glued on. But it works and I like how it looks with the other arm candy.
