Making things is good therapy for me. Especially if I’m travelling for work. A bit of crafting keeps me from holing up in my hotel room and eating all the chocolate and paprika flavoured Pringles. It’s also a nice mental palette cleanser from a day of writing about watches.
Traditionally, every time I’ve attended Baselworld, I’ve created something from found objects and bits and pieces of press kits. This time, I’ve made a necklace from a key I found on the ground at the Basel train station and a ribbon that was wrapped around the Chopard USB key. So I can pretend I have a Chopard necklace alongside my Cartier necklace.
