Weekender
I’ve been busy but no busier than at most times in my life. Yet it feels like I just don’t have enough hours in the day. I try to do a blog post everyday. It’s a good exercise for my brain. But this week was hard and while I had an average amount of work to do, it took me twice as long to complete a task. At the end of the day, I just had no energy left over to write for myself.
On the plus side, this lethargy also kept me from going out and spending money. Hunting is fun but being broke is not. But I still have some catching up to do on things I bought on my trip to Kitchener two weekends ago.
I already teased this Southwestern Turquoise ring in my previous post about the Pendleton shirts I purchased. It has a 1970s vibe. And my totally underinformed guess suspects that the stone comes from the McGinnis Mine in Nevada. A total bargain at $4.99!
I also picked up these two brooches: A handmade pewter squirrel and a resin rose. They were both, like $2.99.
And finally, I had a mini spa night at my mom’s because my skin has been so dry and distressed. So I went to the discount shelf at the local Rexall and picked up heavily discounted TonyMoly Peach Handcream (pictured up top) and some Rexall brand face cream to moisturize. I also paid full price for some Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm (which I have already misplaced). The handcream is working like a charm but the face cream might be a little too rich and I have broken out on my neck and chest. Although that also might be stress.
