Looks Of The Year Part 2
My favourite fits

Previously on the blog, I showcased my most “liked” Outfits Of The Day from my Instagram account @therealrhondariche. Today I want to share the ensembles that I felt were most effective. Starting with this trio of lewks.
Above, from left to right: My favourite spring and summer pairings will included this mint green maxi tube skirt from Giant Tiger and a cute Who What Wear animal print camisole that I found at Target; another Who What Wear top but one that’s been in my wardrobe for a couple of years now; a Uniqlo U cardigan that you will see many times in this roundup plus two thrifted stripey and ginghammy pieces that have become staples over the seasons.
Bonus trends: Alongside stripes and checks, the abundance of plastic clogs and sandals must also be noted.

I’m also a fan of layering.
Above, from left to right: A great detachable collar (this one is from With Nini) can reinvent any garment and these Smiley flares are just plain fun; it’s that green skirt from earlier but worn under a tiered Vero Moda dress; and when I want to show off my hams, this flouncy Who What Wear dress is perfect.
An aside, it would appear that Target is not carrying The Who What Wear collection anymore and I am very sad.

Two out of three of these combos were totally inspired by pictures I saw on Pinterest.
Above from left to right: I saw a picture of someone wearing a black tulle top over a white undershirt so I immediately pulled this Zara top from the Poshmark pile; this ensemble was sort of informed by Pinterest in that I went to the Value Village in search of a sweater I could upcycle but also came home with this Pendleton skirt and vintage tooled leather purse; And the intarsia cardigan and Ikat tunic pairing is based on a pin of Joan Juliet Buck doing yoga in a field wearing a similar style.

The last of my favourite looks of 2023. This trio represents the culmination of this years aesthetic.
Above from left to right: it’s that Cardi again, this time with a romper I got at Target, a thrifted Hawaiian shirt, and a freebie tote bag that I got from Sisley; a Joe Fresh striped shirt dress from Joe Fresh but with a Marni vibe; and that same romper but with a hot pink Terry cloth top from Levi’s and Chinatown bucket hat.
