Midweek Modness: New York Forks
Here are two more treasures from the Chelsea Goodwill: A nice, modernist stainless steel fork by Rosenthal (left) and a cool example of flatware by Henning Koppel for Georg Jensen (right).
I haven’t been able to figure out who designed the Rosenthal piece, but the Georg Jensen is from a collection called New York (appropriately enough) that was introduced in 1963.
These forks were 47 each. Although I spent about an hour clawing through bins of cutlery hoping to uncover their mates. No dice.
