Do Over: Messika Key Chain Conversion

When I was in Basel, I was gifted with a key chain from jewellers Messika. The collection is not so well known in Canada, but it was started by Paris-based designer Valérie Messika and specializes in diamond jewellery. Messika grew up the daughter of a diamond dealer, and her creations all seek to highlight that precious stone, not the setting.

As a result, her works are often kinetic. One of her signature collections is called Move, and features a trio of bezel set stones that symbolize the fluidity of the past, present and future. My keychain features the classic Move shape. It is so pretty and fun that it seemed a shame to keep it hidden in my handbag. So I bought a length of silver chain and made the keychain into a pendant.
