By The Sea

I’ve been in St. John’s, one of my ancestral family homelands, since Monday on a press trip for The Balvenie Whisky. I’m writing about it for Swagger Magazine, so no spoilers  here, but I will share a few finds from the adventure.

First of all, we stayed at the Amazing Inn By Mallard Cottage. I loved my room and it’s comfy bed and cozy decor, include down home crafts like this hooked rug. Alas, I am not bringing the rug home with me.

The Balvenie team also had some treats waiting for us in our rooms, including a fluffy robe for down times and these handknit trigger mitts made by Creattion For Cuties on Etsy.

And because I can never travel without forgetting something, I bought this t-shirt from Caine’s Grocer and Deli so I would have something clean to wear on the way home.
