Return of Quarantine Crafts

COVID finally caught up to us. Mr. Andrew and I tested positive on Saturday. Which means we’re in quarantine for the next five days (at least). I don’t feel too poorly so I’m using the time to get back to doing things I enjoyed during the various lockdowns, such as writing postcards, making art and doing crafts.

The first thing I made was this velvet vest made with fabric samples I bought at the Canadian Textile Museum. I visited there on Friday with my mom and sister.

I still have to add side ties and tailor the neck a little, but I think I’ll keep the longer length.

Here are some other inspiring things we saw on exhibition.

Boro.

Rug hooking.

Weaving.

Beading and tufting.
