More Quarantine Crafts

Five days and still testing positive for COVID. Grrrrrrr! On the plus side, I’m keeping busy with DIY projects. To dress my Dollarama Versace alter ego, I finally attached some Halloween tutus that I bought earlier this month to one of the T-shirts that I added shoulder pads to. Very glam.

I bought this peplum jacket to take to Denmark. Unfortunately most of the buttons fell off in the laundry. I found some bachelor buttons at a dusty old convenience store and attached them. I like peplums. I feel they balance out my frog bod. I also like the silver buttons (the originals we fabric covered). I did have to tighten the button holes to accommodate the smaller buttons. Haven’t been able to wear it yet because it’s been too hot. Today it feels like the temperature has turned the corner so now I have a nice transitional jacket.

Last night, I made this necklace out of a leather scrap and a shoelace I had lying around. I may reconfigure it but placing beads in between the folds. I saw a similar thing on Pinterest. We will have to see how long the quarantine lasts.
