Wishlist Update Part 2

I’ve been making shopping wishlists for many years. Originally they were meant to keep me from impulse shopping. By making these collages I could keep an eye out for them on the secondary market instead of snapping them up as soon as I saw them. Today, because it’s Thanksgiving weekend and I’m being slothful, I thought I’d revisit some old wishlists to see what I did eventually get and what still eludes me.
I originally created the wishlist above two years ago. I did buy the bat suit one year later. As far as I know, you can still buy the Nick Cave Soundsuit punching bag. And the Gruen watch pops up on Facebook Marketplace every couple of months (same seller but keeps raising the price so that it’s always out of reach). The jacket eludes me.

I messaged the FB seller of this cute penguin pin for months. Unfortunately, they lived out of town and were on the fence about mailing it to me. I lost interest in getting the Roland Garrod bag. I found a similar cardigan (see below). And I got the colour block pullover in pink but lost interest in it a year later (and sold it on Poshmark).

I was unable to source any of the above items. Walmart had a similar Homer Simpson sweatshirt last Christmas, but when I checked it out in person, it was way too polyester. I’m sure the fleece cardigan’s unnatural fibres would also give me the heebeejeebees too.

I caved and bought the Mary Jane Crocs for full price not long after I made this list. It was a good decision because I wear them almost every other day. I did see the hamburger mules in a store in Vancouver a year-and-a-bit ago, but I was on a budget and couldn’t afford them.

I did get the shoes when they went on sale, but I bought them too big which made them unfun to wear. They are on sale in my Poshmark store as I type. And the limited edition Mickey Mouse pullovers were sold out before I even spotted them. I could try and replicate the sweatshirt on the right, but as band merch. In the meantime, I did thrift this knockoff Mickey sweater.
