Midweek Modness: Made in Denmark Credenza

made in Denmark Credenza

When we moved, we got rid of our office shelves, our bed, our TV and or couch with the intention (and budget) to replace them with new versions that better suited the layout of the space. Since then we have discovered that much of or furnishings don’t really fit here. Some we can live with, but other solutions needed to be found. So I’ve been searching Craiglist for sofas, a coffee table and storage solutions. So far my finds have been perfect but overpriced, or have been spoken for before I could get them.

But last Thursday I got lucky with this small credenza for $20. It’s stamped “Made In Denmark” on the back. It reminds me of pieces by Arne Vodder for Sibast — except that it’s not that well made. Still, I like the contrast between the light wood and dark sliding doors. It’s the perfect size for our bedroom and the cat likes sleeping in it. Which sort of defeats the point of having storage space.
