I’m Down With B&D

I never hesitate to buy any Buch & Deichmann pieces when I find them (well, if I find them for under $5 — I do have to budget). In the last two weeksor so I’ve come across a bunch of pieces from the Danish company. Starting with this oversized macaw brooch.

I got this gull at an antique shop in Brockville.

And these nylon bangles were all found within a week at a Value Village in Scarborough, the St. Lawrence Market and a Value Village in Kitchener.

I reckon a lot of people who came of age in the late 1980s/early 1990s (when these things were all the rage) must be downsizing now.
