Flashback Fragrances

3F5068E8-2739-4F73-AFA9-64BF5261B9C3I’ve written about Fritsch’s — a timet capsule fragrance shop in my hometown of Kitchener — many times before. But the shop is winding down now, the gentleman who ran it is no longer able to handle the day-to-day operations and his children and grandchildren are now in the process of selling off decades of old stock.

Also picked up this Hermès Eau de Cologne soaps and toiletries bag. This citrussy scent was created by perfumer François Caron in 1979. I dare say these gift with purchase products date to around then.

There were also bins and bins of old fragrance samples. And old cosmetics, which I picked up for the packaging. On the bus ride home, I had an idea to make fake medicine chests stocked with these beauties for people to poke around in. Now I have to go back and get more goodies.CBC99D7F-D55B-472F-9794-4FC04166B052More gift with purchase: a Mystere de Rochas hanky. It will make a cool wrist wrap I reckon.

I’ll post my favourite find tomorrow!
